Aquatic Ensemble

As we all know, the internet is a marine experience. It bears resemblance with jellyfish, dolphins and submarines.

With some raiding the archives on the tubes, I found some samples and the rest is, as we all know, just a matter of editing.

Behold of the depths, waves splashing on your skin, jellyfish drifting in the streams - Here comes Aquatic Ensemble (mp3)

A tribute to Adelsmannen

Last night one of our bots died. Adelsmannen had served the telecomix system for quite a while, always responding with the words “SUCCESS!” on all our demands. He tragically passed away due to a hard drive failure. The box he called his home was a Debian Linux system with flawless uptime. However, everything comes to an end, even the bodies of bots die.

Thus, I wish to tribute to Adelsmannen with a hymn: A Tribute to Adelsmannen.

Pirates of the Internet - Remix

Embassy of Piracy is yet another great kopimist project. Internet released a fantastic song called Pirates of the Internet. And of course a remix zone was set up with all the files. Go ahead - Fire all sequencers now!

My contribution is called Pirates of the Internet - Chrisk Tel-Aviv Reshuffle. If some0ne wants to make a video, plz go ahead. Youtube it if you like!

I will update this post with the ableton-project soon.

See you in Venice and on Internet!

Another virus in the ocean of contagion

As y’all know, the Numa Numa Song is probably the most contagious virus on the internets. Since it is one of them good ones, that won’t destroy your windows computer, but rather infects your brain, I made a contribution to this giant sea of remixes, mashups and videos. Mp3 is here, and Reason file here. Plz Dance!

Max Mix - Spears, Basshunter and Stupidisco

My friend monki sent me a youtubes-link on how mashups were done pre-internets. Watch Max-Mix here. Inspired by their work with tape recorders and vinyl records, I really felt like doing something similar. I wanted to imitate, maybe repeat, and even, become a mixxxed out maximized power-force!

So, I sailed over to teh Pirate Bay to stash up with some acapellas. Then I fired up Abletons and started copy-pasting. The result is called Baby make a move tribute to Max Mix. Ableton file here. You can hear Britney Spears, some Basshunter and Stupidisco ritornellos, as well as my kaossilator.

Copy, paste - feel the bass!

Internetional Jungle (Tapir meshwork) BETA

My dear friends of teh internets soundscape – Behold of the Internetional Jungle (Tapir meshwork) BETA. I’m still not all OK with the mastering of the song… you know, Reason 4 is sometimes a bit edgy. Download the Reason file here, with samples, if you feel you can do a better job than me (I’s gone deaf from trying this night). Other formats here.

An yes, it is a real kopimi tapir howling in the background… (guess though, who is behind the thick vocoder voice?)

Long live the animals of the jungle!

LupusRex rework: “Wallis”

My friend LupusRex made a really cool song, ready for download at the Pirate Bay, with samples+Reason file. Of course, I couldn’t help myself, so here is a youtubian kaossilator elektro rework:

No doubt my friends, the Reason file can be downloaded here. Unfortunately, the kaossilator was recorded live, so you will have to figure out some other way of making noise.

FTW! Düsseldorf vs. Bochum bootlegged!

Someone nice bootlegged the performance last friday at the Spectrial party. Excellent! It now floats proudly on the Pirate Bay. In the comments people ask about the peculiar name. Well, Düsseldorf is of course the city of Kraftwerk, and Bochum is a city famous for its fashion models who end up in mail order catalogues. That probably needs no further explanation.

Epic #spectrial ftw S23K Acoustic Symphony Orchestra

Yesterday the S23K Acoustic Symphony Orchestra premiered at the #spectrial kopimi party, with Düsseldorf vs. Bochum S23K version.  (other formats here).

Since we accept no originals, the ableton-file will be uploaded to this post as soon as I get more bandwidth, along with all audio source files. Keep posted if you want material for remixes!

Update: Ableton project here and all instruments in aiff/m4u in this directory. Kopimi!

Performance on tomorrow’s party

Tomorrow I will perform the S23K Acoustic Orchestra on the spectrial kopimi party. Right now I have no clue what the end result will be, since I was phoned up by someone wanting to send me even more recordings. I will master the song on a train tomorrow, thus what you hear will be a product of both bus and train action-spaces.

Fuck boring studios, laptop rulz!
